Commercial Concrete in North Texas
Commercial concrete demands more than residential work — heavier loads, tighter tolerances, coordination with other trades, and consequences that matter more when something goes wrong. Pillars Concrete LLC brings the same crew discipline and attention to detail to commercial projects that we bring to every residential pour. Based in Gordon, TX, we serve commercial and agricultural clients across North and Central Texas.

Commercial Concrete Services
We work across the full range of commercial concrete needs — from foundations and warehouse floors to site flatwork and agricultural pads. Every project gets a concrete spec appropriate for its actual use, not a one-size-fits-all residential approach applied to a commercial site.
Commercial Foundations
Slab-on-grade, thickened edge, and engineered foundations for warehouses, shops, retail buildings, and agricultural structures. We work from plans or coordinate engineering for design-build projects.
Equipment Yard Paving
Heavy-duty flatwork for equipment staging areas, storage yards, and outdoor work areas. We spec concrete thickness and reinforcement based on actual equipment loads, not residential minimums.
Commercial Driveways & Approaches
Drive lanes, truck approaches, loading dock areas, and parking lot entries built for repetitive heavy-load cycles. Thicker slabs, tighter joints, and heavier reinforcement than standard residential work.
Warehouse & Shop Floors
Level, smooth, durable floors for commercial shop buildings, distribution facilities, and manufacturing spaces. Flatness tolerance, joint placement, and surface hardness all matter more at commercial scale.
Agricultural Concrete
Barn pads, feed lot lanes, silage pads, water trough surrounds, and working pen floors. We understand what rural operations need — we build for livestock, equipment, and weather, not suburban aesthetics.
Site Flatwork & Hardscaping
Walkways, accessible paths, courtyard areas, and site concrete that ties the project together. ADA-compliant ramp and walkway work available.
Agricultural & Rural Commercial
A lot of commercial concrete work in Palo Pinto County and the surrounding area is agricultural — barns, equipment sheds, feed operations, and working pens. We understand what rural Texas operations actually need. We're not bringing a suburban contractor's mindset to your ranch. We know what a barn pad has to hold up to and we build accordingly.

Our Commercial Process
- 1
Pre-Construction Review
We review plans, specifications, or work from conceptual scope. For design-build projects, we assess the site and provide a complete scope with specs — not just a number.
- 2
Scheduling & Coordination
Commercial projects run alongside other trades. We coordinate our pour schedule with GCs and site managers, provide concrete delivery timing, and communicate the cure requirements so no one is surprised.
- 3
Site Preparation
Proper excavation, compaction, and base prep. Commercial pours get more sub-base attention than residential because the loads and consequences of settlement are higher.
- 4
Forming & Reinforcement
Commercial work follows structural drawings. We place rebar or post-tension cables per plan, set forms to specified grade and slope, and don't deviate from spec without coordination.
- 5
Pour Execution
Large commercial pours are sequenced and staffed to finish properly. We don't start a pour we can't finish in the same day — crew size and concrete delivery are planned for the job, not guessed.
- 6
Inspection & Closeout
We support inspections as required, provide concrete mix tickets and test cylinder coordination when specified, and leave the site clean.

Commercial Concrete FAQs
- Do you work with general contractors?
- Yes. We work as a concrete subcontractor on commercial projects and directly with landowners on design-build agricultural and industrial work. Either way, we show up on schedule and communicate clearly.
- What size commercial projects do you take on?
- We work across a range of commercial scale — from small shop foundations and equipment pads to larger warehouse floors and agricultural facilities. Contact us with your scope and we'll let you know if it's a fit.
- Can you match existing concrete on a commercial site?
- We can pour concrete that's structurally compatible and visually close, but exact color and texture matching between old and new concrete is always approximate. We'll discuss expectations upfront.
- Do you handle commercial permits?
- We coordinate permits when required. Most incorporated North Texas cities require permits for commercial concrete work. We factor permit lead time into the project schedule.
- Can you pour in sections on a large project?
- Yes. Large slabs are always poured in planned sections with construction joints designed to accommodate thermal movement and allow proper finishing. We plan the pour sequence before work begins.
- What are your payment terms for commercial work?
- We discuss terms at the proposal stage and put everything in writing. Commercial jobs typically work on a progress billing structure — contact us to discuss your project.
