Decorative Concrete in North Texas
Decorative concrete gives you the look of premium stone, brick, or tile with the durability and low maintenance of concrete. Pillars Concrete LLC does stamped, stained, and textured work across North Texas — patios, driveways, pool decks, walkways, and more. Built to hold up to the Texas climate and look good doing it.

Residential Decorative Work
Decorative concrete is one of the best upgrades you can make to a North Texas home's outdoor spaces. A stamped concrete patio or decorative driveway increases curb appeal, adds usable living space, and holds its value over time — all without the maintenance headaches of pavers or the short lifespan of asphalt.
We work through every decorative job with the homeowner before we start — pattern selection, color options, and finish type all get discussed and approved before forming begins. No surprises on a decorative pour.
- Stamped concrete patios

Commercial Decorative Concrete
Restaurants, retail entries, office building lobbies, and commercial outdoor spaces benefit from decorative concrete that holds up to heavy foot traffic while looking professional. We bring the same attention to finish detail to commercial work that we bring to residential.
Finish Options
We offer a range of decorative finishes for different applications and budgets.
Stamped Concrete
Patterns pressed into fresh concrete to mimic stone, brick, slate, or wood. Color hardener or release agent adds depth and contrast.
Exposed Aggregate
The top layer of cement paste is washed away to reveal the natural stone aggregate beneath. Durable, non-slip, and timeless.
Broom Finish with Color
Standard broom texture with integral color mixed into the concrete — the most economical way to add color without a decorative stamp.
Salt Finish
Rock salt is pressed into fresh concrete then washed out, leaving small pits that provide texture and visual interest. Popular for pool decks.
Smooth Trowel Finish
A flat, dense surface ideal for interior floors or covered areas where a coating or stain will be applied over the top.

Decorative Concrete FAQs
- How long does stamped concrete last?
- Stamped concrete that's properly installed and sealed regularly will last 25+ years. Resealing every 3–5 years is the main maintenance requirement — it protects color and prevents surface wear.
- Does decorative concrete cost a lot more than plain concrete?
- Stamped and colored work runs 25–50% more than plain flatwork depending on pattern complexity and color. For a driveway or patio, that premium usually comes back in curb appeal and property value.
- Will stamped concrete get slippery when wet?
- Smooth stamped concrete can get slippery. We always apply a sealer with an anti-slip additive on exterior surfaces and recommend textured patterns for areas that get wet regularly.
- Can you match existing concrete color?
- We can get close. Exact color matching between an old and new pour is difficult because concrete color shifts as it cures and ages. We'll discuss realistic expectations upfront.
- What stamp patterns are available?
- Ashlar slate, cobblestone, flagstone, brick, wood plank, and seamless skin textures are the most popular in North Texas. We'll show you samples before any work begins.
- Is decorative concrete good for a driveway?
- Yes, especially exposed aggregate and stamped concrete. Both hold up to vehicle traffic and weather well when poured to proper thickness (4–5 inches) and sealed regularly.
- Can you do decorative work on an existing slab with an overlay?
- We focus on new pours rather than overlays. Overlays have their place, but for longevity and performance, a properly poured new slab is the better investment.
